That has to be one of the strangest comments I've ever seen on this site. Not one person on this whole thread has moaned about the chairman. If you disagree with comments then fair enough but don't just make things up...

If we are talking about the Club not yet having done any business, looking for cheap options "as usual" etc., by inference, who would that type of remark be aimed at?  Not the groundsman......

I agree that it's unfair to judge on 'media talk' but in terms of actual real deals, so far,
we've done nothing either. While all the other 'established' Prem sides are making moves.

Swansea have bagged Andre Ayew, who has been a top level player his whole career and
scored goals in the Champions League and World Cup.

Southampton have bagged Juanmi, who looked the part for Malaga last year. Stoke have just
spent £8m on Joselu.

Leicester have signed Christian Fuchs who was playing in the Champions League last year.

Villa have bagged Micah Richards and even Watford and Bournmouth have signed Prodl and
Atsu who are both players who would improve us.

We can only judge on what we've heard, which is media talk, and media are reporting that
the fee has been agreed for McClean, a proven failure at this level with Sunderland who
has just been relegated to League 1 with Wigan. Meanwhile, Watford have agreed a deal
for Diego Perotti, a start for Seville for years, Europa League winner, tormentor of Real
Madrid, Barca and others and probably Genoa's best player last year.

Frankly, it just doesn't seem good enough at this point. Yes, it's early days, but other teams
are already working and stretching the gap between us, while the teams below are overtaking
in terms of quality. Not sure what's going on with the agreed takeover, but everything seems
to be moving in slow motion at the moment. We can only hope it changes, but at present, it
does seem a little bit concerning both with the quality of players we're generally linked with
(or lack of) and what's actually happened so far (nothing).

After over sixty years of watching the Baggies, hope still springs eternal for me. I know we give nothing away until it's fait accompli. I believe the Club is like a swan at these times; on the surface, gliding serenely along while, below, paddling like fook!

Not doubt about that it's a big summer and hopefully come August we'll all be happy bunny's

Call me easily pleased but, I was dead chuffed after our intake last summer. I really liked Samaras and thought Gamboa a great prospect. Just look how it all turned out! There's just no guarantees but i do hope we get a few "big" acquisitions (in our terms) to add to the new season's excitement.

Why are we all complaining about not going for Fuchs, Prodl and Perotti? It's Tony Pulis. The man who notoriously uses homegrown players with a work ethic, it finally looks like the manager is able to make his own signings.

We still have 2&abit months left of this transfer window and some of you have already hit the panic button. Chill, enjoy the weather, there's more to life sometimes (especially when it's close season).

While Billy Jones and McAuley were met with a meltdown because we showed no ambition...

Yeah both was met with very mixed views but to be fair a lot of these bargains paid off during the Ashworth era with the great scouting system everyone we brought in seemed to work out well but not one has worked in the last two seasons apart from the two highly experienced pair Lescott & Fletcher so not sure we can use the Jones,McAuley,Odemwingie argument now
Hopefully the revamped scouting system and TP can make a better fist of it!  Smile

Fair point, but the same thing being said of being left behind of the promoted sides every year as we go into our 6th consecutive season in the BPL is just repetitive and I'm bored of it
