RE: The Posh v The Owls PO SF 1st Leg - Owlkev71 - 13-05-2023

Be interesting to see what the crowd is on Thursday, alot of tickets have been sold, will fans not go or will they turn up in blind faith hoping for a miracle that isn't going to happen.

The fans have been let down for 23 years, barring a couple of promotions, while our neighbour's across the city rake in millions in the PL, pissing themselves at our ineptitude and lack of leadership.

4 teams have lost by 4 goals or more in a playoff semi final 1st leg and unsurprisingly none have made the final. It took the Blunts 6 season's to get out of league one, I fear it will take us longer, might be an over reaction, but that is how our feel this morning.

RE: The Posh v The Owls PO SF 1st Leg - Statesideowl - 13-05-2023

I still cannot believe the state of that performance and result even though I expected to be let down and disappointed.. but humiliated, again playing Darrenball.

For the buffoon to say "What's done is done" instead of ceaselessly apologising says everything about the situation.

None of our rivals would have him as manager and I bet they would have pulled the trigger by now.
Donny fans tried to warn us about Moore but we desperately needed a manager after Monkfish.
As usual our scouting service is tip top bollox.
As much as I can't wait for Moore to go. I worry about who DC's kid will hire as replacement.

Those who want to look at it like Moore is the reason we made it to the Playoffs should really realise he is also the reason we aren't promoted, second time in a row. After he failed to keep us up

I hope the fans try to refund their tickets. Its a matter of principle now.
The Club is rotten from top to bottom and these players do not care about letting the fans down.

Smith has been awful for months, a good striker would have scored 30 with the opportunities he's had it's ridiculous.
Iorfa lol was at it again with his usual self.
The rest just typically unmotivated. Why?
Always so flat, uninspired.
Five midfielders and the idea is to pass it backwards and hoof it over them?
The ball control and passing, I've said all season long has been absolutely mediocre. The basics in football are simply not there.
I don't understand how it's possible.

23 "Erms" in that post match interview. lol

Also, Chansiri wanting around £700 for season tickets next season.
Division 3 Darrenball for 700 quid.. I cannot wait for him to fk off soon enough. It's so offensive to the fans at this point.
Stop going, stop paying it's the only way to hurt people like Chansiri and force them to make changes.

" I thought the players took on board the information tactically very well, and executed the plan very well."
Darren Ferguson

Says everything really. Imagine having those abilities.

The fact of the matter is we are now in a no win situation next season ..if chansiri (who won't sell up) pulls the trigger then we will have 15 players (shit as they are ) heading for the exits ! Bring in Klopp and it's going to take him at least a season of mishaps and excuses to put it right ! Maybe though just maybe if we do get into the playoffs we will have a manager with enough nouse to win it ? The other hand is he keeps Moore let's him negotiate at least 7 of the 15 to stay and Moore will bring in more average players on a budget that will see us float in and out of the playoffs and end in the same way as it has done before ..or earlier when chansiri has finally had enough and triggers him in the new year to bring in yet another manager with no transfers of his own starting yet another cycle of a manager every 5 minutes !!!
Chansiri won't sell up and he will keep Moore due to the budget we are under through his own personal f@vk up of not giving contracts or selling players on.

RE: The Posh v The Owls PO SF 1st Leg - Statesideowl - 13-05-2023

That's another problem with it all, Imre.
After blowing it twice in a row, we're left with a monumental rebuild.
We can't rely on DC to begin to build any sort of structure or future plans in the manner other Clubs have successfully done.
That's exactly why we need him to go, we need an actual Chairman that knows how to run a football club...
I hope we don't have to play the Pigs for the next five seasons because they'll absolutely maul us.

We can't even heal and move on until Thursday night because this epic bottle continues to be an open wound. Who knows how much further humiliation we're going to suffer on aggregate!?

Leeds players facing relegation but all of them are trying to play with hunger, desperate to fight back against Newcastle.
You don't see any of that mentality amongst our players. Thursday's dead rubber, cos that's what it is now, will just see our players barely going through the motions yet again as Posh try to smash five more past us.
Does anyone think Moore learned anything? Any tactical weakness in Posh he might exploit?
Or is he going to set up the exact same again. 352 with Iorfa kicking the ball out of play and everyone else unable to even control the ball?

RE: The Posh v The Owls PO SF 1st Leg - Imre varadi - 13-05-2023

I can hear him now saying just be patient to the players before Thursdays inevitable!! Any other manager would change the formation and just go for it trying to get at least 2 before the 20 minute mark !! Not Darren he will set up the same probably knick a goal before HT and be patient till the 80th minute when it's done and dusted !!
Even if we are by some other dimension we huff and puff and find ourselfs winning 4-0 it's almost certain that posh will score 10 seconds later with the bunch of error ridden bottlers we have !!

RE: The Posh v The Owls PO SF 1st Leg - Statesideowl - 13-05-2023

I expect another embarrassing, gutless display. No honour for the badge even on home turf.

You can bet your arse he's going to change nothing and set up the same. He won't approach it any differently and that's the problem.
Thrashed by a team 19pts below.

Barnsley v Bolton a much livelier game with players on both sides showing they understand the urgency of the occasion.
Something else Moore can't do.

Chezzy leading County. Might be another local derby soon.
Even they look hungry and up for it, as they should.
Closing the opposition down instead of backing off
There's genuinely players in the national league here, with better ball control and passing ability than our lot...how is this possible?

RE: The Posh v The Owls PO SF 1st Leg - St Charles Owl - 13-05-2023

If you thought we have blown promotion then Notts County are having their "Hold my beer" moment!!

RE: The Posh v The Owls PO SF 1st Leg - Statesideowl - 13-05-2023

That Nemane lad for County looks sharp to me.
He's plucked the ball out of the sky four times in a row on that wing..
For us it usually hits Pattersons body and goes to the opposition.

Get him signed up for next season, he's better than what we've got.

Dingles score.. that's how you do it. Take shots Our suffering continues if these cnuts go up

Bolton equaliser makes us the only team in the playoffs to not have scored now.

Our tie was settled in an hour... Pathetic.

RE: The Posh v The Owls PO SF 1st Leg - Owlkev71 - 13-05-2023

Bolton with a quick equaliser.

Wonder who Posh want in the final.

Southampton on there way down to the Championship.
