RE: Jan 12th: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window - Salopbaggie - 13-01-2016

Birmingham Mail reporting today a £7.5 mil bid for a defensive midfielder

Reports in France say that West Brom have made a move for Angers captain Cheikh N’Doye.

The defensive midfielder has been linked with both Derby and Aston Villa in recent weeks, having helped his club to a brilliant start to life in Ligue 1 following promotion.

N’Doye, who turns 30 in March, has 18 months left on his contract, but according to L’Equipe he’s now the subject of a £7.5million bid from the Baggies.

A major threat from set pieces, he’s already scored six times in 16 league games this season.

Could it be true?  this guy is only 29 personally cannot see JP shelling out 7.5 mil on a defensive midfielder with other positions more of a priority, mind you that did not stop them last summer!

If we sell Berahino all that money must go first of all on a good striker, and, if there's any money left we start thinking about other positions.

Next year when the tv money comes in we can rebuild the midfield.
