RE: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window (Dec 15 update) - talkSAFT - 22-12-2015

With tongue in cheek I'm going to suggest that in the transfer window we....

1. sell Berahino
2. sell Rondon
3. bring back Shane Long
4. get Chester in a back 5, put him on a weightlifting course, and turn him into a new Rory Delap

Simples

You forgot to sell sess, morrison and all our other attacking players so we can by more centre backs .....

A 6 4 0 formation with three holding midfielders is on the cards ...

RE: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window (Dec 15 update) - Tibby Baggie - 24-12-2015

Hopefully we'll find a couple of full backs under the Christmas tree at The Albion soon as I've read online that we've again been linked to Debuchy and Jose Enrique. Both are improvements on Poco and Gamboa so I'd say sign them up, definitely need to be moving Poco and Gamboa on though.

Renewed links to Bez as well from Spurs and Chelsea and Gnabry loan to be ended shortly

Tottenham are likely to rekindle their interest in West Brom striker Saido Berahino after Clinton Njie suffered an injury. (Guardian)

West Brom manager Tony Pulis has urged striker Saido Berahino, 22, to get back on track by doing the thing he does best - scoring goals. (Star)........ Got to be playing 1st I would have thought. DD Whistle Whistle

Despite claiming we will do little in the transfer window I am beginning to think we will feature quite a bit.

Saido's latest brush with TP and the lodged interest in Townsend being the trigger. We'd need a striker to add to Townsend and a defender or two.

In
Debuchy
Jose Enrique
Townsend
Austin

Out
Berahino
Pocognoli
Gamboa
Gnabry (waste of a loan if he's not going to be used)

That's more or less what I'd like to see. How likely we are to be that active in the window is another thing altogether.

RE: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window (Dec 30 update) - Stairs - 30-12-2015

Romain Thomas (Angers’) – (Dec 30, Sport Witness) – Palace and Stoke also showing interest.

Just discussing Berahino replacements with a few people at work and a good shout so far has been Naismith. Doesn't seem to feature regularly for Everton but looks good when he does play.

Tottenham are targeting 22-year-old West Brom striker Saido Berahino in a swap deal that would see Spurs winger Andros Townsend, 24, join the Baggies. (Times - subscription required)

Berahino has been warned over persistent lateness by current manager Tony Pulis. (Daily Telegraph)

As well the Baggies, Townsend is also being targeted by Watford, Aston Villa and Newcastle, with Spurs valuing the England international at £14m. (Mirror)

Ohhhhhhh Look TP. Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce will make a move for Bayern Munich's 6ft 5ins centre-back Jan Kirchhoff, 25. ( Daily Mail)
