RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 05-09-2017 footballs moved on charlie and we need to move with it or let it pass us bye is what will happen and has happened ! now these kids get shirts or leave , do we want him to stay ? if so sign him up give him aplace on the bench ! do we want him to leave ? if so keep up the crap work !! RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - St Charles Owl - 05-09-2017 (05-09-2017, 21:04)Imre varadi Wrote: footballs moved on charlie and we need to move with it or let it pass us bye is what will happen and has happened ! now these kids get shirts or leave , do we want him to stay ? if so sign him up give him aplace on the bench ! do we want him to leave ? if so keep up the crap work !! Chelsea have over 50 youngsters like Hirst out on loan, Man City the same, football has moved on, except for exceptional cases young players go on loan and play real games in a lower leagues, that's what he needs to do. Spurs bought Dele from MK Dons then immediately loaned him back to them, he wasn't signed and then straight into their first team!! Everyone is calling for him to be in our first team, he isn't ready for that according to our coaching staff and they see him every day. He only plays games against kids his age and he is better than them so is looking good, now lets put him up against some real men in League one and see how he fares. As I said, if he leaves us that is exactly what will happen to him, we have offered him a contract, if he signs it then he should go on a season long loan and develop his game. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Maddix - 05-09-2017 Explain Marcus Rashford to us then Chaz RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 05-09-2017 (05-09-2017, 21:29)Maddix Wrote: Explain Marcus Rashford to us then Chaz explain woodburn aswell ? moving on lichtenstien have started with the usual bus formation of 1-10 and guess what spain are 7 up within 65 minutes !! explain Rooney owen fowler etc etc etc ! the only explanation is DC hates his dad and CC is a twat ! Hirst was not present by the way .. strange one that ? RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Maddix - 05-09-2017 I'm not calling for him to be a 1st team starter. I just want him treated a little better, train with the 1st team and have the occasional appearance on the bench with the odd ten minutes. We have a diamond that we are going to sell to cash converters because we think it's glass. And no, you're right, I don't trust our coaches one f'ucking iota we've a track record of ballsing things up and our vortex is the stuff of legends RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - peiowl - 05-09-2017 I'm with imre and Maddix on this. If we had a bench loaded with talented strikers I could buy some of this nonsense about loaning Hirst to a pub league club. But Nuhiu and Joao? Give me an effing break. Hirst should be on the bench and given some game time. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Maddix - 06-09-2017 The rate we're going we'll be in the Pub League soon so there'll be no need to loan him out or maybe the mighty Leicester will loan him us back once we get there RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - St Charles Owl - 06-09-2017 Hold on guys, let's just stop for a second!!! George Hirst is a good prospect, we all agree with that but he is only 18 and needs to develop but where?? We have no reserve football these days and while he plays in our development squad he has yet to make the England U21 or U23 team!!!! I'm not sure you guys are serious comparing him to Owen or Rashford are you?? Rashford got into MUs first team due to all their strikers being injured but even the striker ahead of him now, Lukaku at team level and Kane at International level spent more than a season on loan developing!! Even the academy football they played in is at a much higher level than ours is, we don't play the premier teams at Academy level!!! But ok, let's stick him on the bench, maybe even give him some starts but if he fails to score what will that do to him?? Our fans would slaughter CC if he started youngsters and we ended up losing!! He needs to go on loan to play against real men and if he succeeds then he will come back and be a better player. But I still maintain there are no clubs after him because they see him as a first team starter now, he will get loaned out so I want him to sign the contract on offer and move his career forward. The money will come for him if he keeps progressing but I get the feeling because his dad didn't get his move to Manure he is pushing George to go to a Prem team now. As I say, not sure what the club can currently do if all he is doing is chasing the money. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Towinjustonce - 06-09-2017 While I hear what you are saying Chaz Fulham have a young left back Ssenegon or whatever and he is managed right. He nearly plays every game but is also wisely rested......why ??? Because he adds something different and improves the team.... he is basically fearless as he is so young. That's something we need and have but don't even give him a bench spot !! Also Fulham want to keep there guy as they realise they could make serious money on him. I must admit I don't know what level there academy is at compared to ours. For me Hirst should be in our squad, he is a confident young lad and the squad needs that the way we have started this season. Also last season Bristol loaned a 19 year old striker from Chelsea....Abraham I think,!he didn't do have bad, he scored somewhere between 15-20 goals maybe more. Apart from Wildsmith who is the youngest in our squad ? Reach maybe is it ? None of us can deny we have an aging squad which is not ideal. Where is building for the future there? RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - St Charles Owl - 06-09-2017 At Hirsts age Tammy Abraham went on loan to Brizzle from Chelsea, who incidentally have the top ranked academy in the country. He is now on loan at Swansea. So again shows that loaning a player out is the way it's generally done. He had also played for the England U21 at 17/18, something Hirst is yet to do. But again I think I am the only one on here who thinks this is about money, not first team football!! He won't get first team football in the top two divisions so I think it's about wages not opportunity. And that for me leads back to his agent/Dad!! |
