RE: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window (The rumours abound) - silverbaggie - 25-11-2015 I hear what you say Danny but, as a club that hasn't the cash to splash, surely home grown players could be part of the answer. Although, admittedly not if they all turn out like 'Sado'. I remember that many years ago some clubs survived, not through gate money but, by developing youngsters who, in many instances, were sold on to create wealth for the club. Burnley in the old first division were particularly successful at this. But, the FA needs to protect the interests of those Clubs who invest in Youth Academies and stop the 'poaching' of players by the favoured few. for ridiculous fees. RE: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window (The rumours abound) - Dingle-Dingle - 26-11-2015 West Brom and Leicester are monitoring Burnley's Tendayi Darikwa, 23, who has been impressive in the Championship this season. (Mirror) DD RE: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window (The rumours abound) - Salopbaggie - 28-11-2015 So no money for Pullis to spend on transfers in January!!! "The head coach would like to add several players to his squad in the new year. Pulis would like a full-back, a central midfielder and a winger, but he and Peace have different opinions on the importance of the upcoming window. “Jeremy thinks January is not a good window,” said Pulis. “I’ve spoken to him, I know the score and I know the situation." DD RE: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window (The rumours abound) - Stairs - 29-11-2015 Spurs rumour: cash plus Townsend for Saido. Fine with Townsend but the problem will be how Spurs define 'cash' e.g. 'Hard' cash or 'Promise to pay one day' cash RE: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window (The rumours abound) - silverbaggie - 29-11-2015 (29-11-2015, 10:34)Stairs Wrote: Spurs rumour: cash plus Townsend for Saido. We want to sell him but want the money up front and preferably not one hour before the transfer window closes like last time. I'd prefer it if a few other Clubs (Manure and Chelski) got involved in a bidding war. The Uruguayan, 22, has impressed in Ligue 1 since his 2013 move from Defensor Sporting, but couldn't help Bordeaux avoid a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday. With pace and the ability to play up front or out wide, Rolan is a versatile attacking threat - and possibly the ideal replacement for Saido Berahino. The Sun note that West Brom are bracing themselves for January interest in their English forward, and are eyeing up Rolan as a prime target should they end up selling Berahino in the New Year. RE: WBA January 2016 Transfer Window (The rumours abound) - BaggieMan - 29-11-2015 With it being highly likely Villa will be relegated, would any of their players be of interest? |
