And there is the anti-English rhetoric we see from North of the border!!! As I said on the other thread it doesn't help anything when you pitch Scotland against England in the EU debate. It is neither of those entities that are leaving the EU, it the UK as a whole.
Aside from that, its making little news over here with the shite we have going on here dominating of course, where are we on the whole leave debacle? At what point is anyone going to suggest we just call the whole thing off and pass Bobby Ewing a clean towel as he comes out of the shower!!!!

Donald Tusk is only finding out who to avoid in Hell once he and his EU cohorts arrive. I don't see how he can criticise Leavers for not knowing how to progress Brexit, as they only knew Brexit was on the cards after the vote - and that was apparently a complete surprise according to all and sundry. Nevertheless, it is absolutely disgraceful that after 30 months, we're no further forward than we were at the start.
One thing I'd like to know is how the Good Friday Agreement (between the Governments of the UK and ROI) can be threatened by the UK leaving the EU. It has nothing to do with the EU. As far as I'm aware, the UK are not going to have a hard border and the EU don't intend having a hard border, so there shouldn't be a problem.
What is a problem is that the current game of chicken is still going ahead at a gathering speed.

Oh well! We'll just continue to initiate Brexit and all will be well (not!) in this great utopia (not!) that has been preached by all these shameless bastards/MPs + others who Donald Tusk was actually referring to!! As for the Irish backstop impasse, it is far more complicated than being suggested and has previously been eloquently explained within this OP and other decent political media sites so many times (please refer to them and be enlightened!) After well over 2 years of talking about this shit that should never been allowed to happen in the 1st place, the repetition re the same old f###### stuff by people who think they are "in the know" but without real substance to back up their arguments or touting poorly for their "cause", their vote, is absolutely breathtaking!!!! Repetition of the same stuff time n time again - almost like a form of brainwashing to try and convince people of effectively "buying a second car" with no wheels on it and no axles. I've never witnessed so much of this continuous, irritating nonsense in my life time and I hope I never see it again as I'm sure millions of other like-minded folk feel in this country! It's a revolving wheel of repetition that indicates the huge disunity and polarisation that has struck this country!! A shocker!!

Jim, I expect that at worst Brexit will give the working class one less teetering vestige of monopoly capitalism to overthrow. Even the ruling class can't find its way out of the maze Euro-banker bureaucracy calls the EU. How does anyone exert any pressure for change when the real power lies in Berlin or Brussels or Strasbourg?
You often embrace ideas which are of the left; you want a better and fairer society apparently, but you think you'll get it by whingeing. For Scots Westminster is a distant enough power ........ what do you think you going to do in the European Parliament when you're gazing up at the pretty colours designed as a sop to the notion of diversity?
Minimal as the chances are, there is some small hope of achieving change if we can begin to identify where the power lies within our own supposedly INDEPENDENT country, but once our ragged-trousered Parliament is rendered totally irrelevant by spent-force nations like Germany, France and Italy sicking up the mucus of a compliant Euro-Parliament under the rule of a monster bureaucracy, the working man and woman are done. They can never be anything but victims of power. Voting becomes completely pointless. Protest has no focus. They'll get crusts and the occasional piece of cake like some form of Third World Development Project. Bend over and we'll give you some butter.
Choose a compliant future to avoid a little disruption now if you want. Personally, I refuse.

The EU had a key role in the good Friday agreement . It has plenty to do with them.
Brexit will require deletion of references to the EU within the 1998 Good Friday Agreement. The all-island aspects of the Agreement embed the EU and provide the legal framework for financing of the peace process by the EU.

Devongone! Pardon me saying this but you actually sound like you have "given up the ghost" anyway! Some interesting notions of reverting back to what is perceived as "better days" for "all and sundry" within this island but I think that is a "tongue in cheek" hope rather than belief because the politics at Westminster are non-progressive, have been for decades, full of a failed political ideology. As for putting down everything that is the EU, what about all the positives that are associated with the EU???? They do actually exist and many people have benefited from EU activities and policies. There are a lot more positives and yet they are conveniently ignored in this concentrated list of negatives, some of them lies and exaggerations to suit a warped argument, that most Brexit protagonists keep referring to. I acknowledge that the EU is not perfect but neither is the British govt or any other for that matter. One can but try to improve things from within!!

The EU had nothing to do with the Good Friday agreement and they did not have a key role. The Good Friday agreement was between the British Government, the Irish Government and Irish political parties.
