RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 29-08-2017 Hirst will probably be the last to go in to this pile of shite ! so i ask was Zico sterland not a legend ??? its beyond me what a load of huddersplop The club is a xxxx comedy from start to finish 150 years of unfunny comedy !! RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - St Charles Owl - 29-08-2017 If Hirst is not already in there then yes he should be the last one. Who is in so far : Derek Dooley Don Megson Lee Bullen Des Walker Terry Curran John Sheridan Andrew Wilson Ernest Blenkinsop Fred Spiksley Johnny Fantham Ron Springett Roland Nilsson Tommy Crawshaw Chris Waddle The only one on this list I would question is Lee Bullen, I would have had Nigel Pearson ahead of him. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 29-08-2017 des walker what a load of wank ! funny the song youll never beat des walker because he got xxxx mullered nearly every other week Terry curran why is he so different from zico ? zico even played 1000 games more for us ? terry curran 3rd division ? why didnt antonio get in then ? its flawed the whole xxxx list its been picked by xxxx muppets !! RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - St Charles Owl - 29-08-2017 I think its been picked by fans hasn't it?? Curran was always more popular than Zico plus he was a flair player, they always get more votes. Curran also scored that goal at Bumhole lane and was instrumental in the Boxing Day Massacre, so he get remembered for that over anything. There are a bunch of players who could have been in this, Nigel Worthington for one, played a ton of games and like Nilsson was a true professional. You will never get agreement with these sort of things. You could even question Waddle being in there as he didn't play that many games for us, but he scored that goal at Wembley in 93!! RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 29-08-2017 To top this off they may aswell put dicanio in there and for an extra bonus point Trevor francis or the curb crawler o maybe the kiddie fiddler jones as manager shuve it up yer arse its wank ! and so are the shirts the manager the chairman and players ! RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Statesideowl - 29-08-2017 "The next 48 hours will be crucial in the career of young striker George Hirst. Wednesday's long term plan for 18-year old Hirst was for him to spend last season with the U23's, then spend this campaign out on loan playing competitive league football for the first time in his career, with a view to bringing him into the senior set up next year once he has proved himself above youth level and gained some much-needed Football League experience. However, with his contract expiring in the summer and his refusal to sign a new deal, his progress could come to a standstill. The Owls seem unwilling to loan him out (or play him in the under 23 side) unless he signs a new deal as they would risk losing him for minimal compensation at the end of the season. The club will be hoping that Hirst will sign a new deal and be loaned out before Thursday's deadline, however if he refuses they may have to decide whether to try to cash in on him now, or leave him to rot and hope that he changes his mind by January when the window reopens for the good of his career. " From Wednesday Transfers social media. Seems anyone that falls out with Carlos gets sent to rot. Is he really doing what's best for the club? Can understand him not signing. Especially after his dad and cc fell out. There seems to be a lot of falling out at the club so it's not harmonious in the dressing room. Carlos has ruined a few careers already so Hirst probably doesn't want that to happen to him. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 29-08-2017 it seems carlos has become bigger than the club like many before the thing is that hes not showing anything that warrants his dictatorship behaviour win games top of the league then ill swallow it but playing worst than an Alan irvine team by either chasing a stupid goal or defending a goal then it tastes like shit OUT and if DC continues to back this wanker then maybe he should feff off aswell as he also isnt bigger than the club And DC has turned our 150th into a complete shambles in so many ways ! But everyone is shying away from saying this and prefering to blame his workers ? i own a company and if shit hits the fan when one of my workers feffs up ! its my head on the block and i accept that ... DC is just hiding in the shadows hoping and praying that all these feff ups wil go away ? Carlos is playing for Time and the rest of the rats are just happy to feed while the ship is sinking ! a big shake up is needed yet agian at comedy land ! and moving on http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/41084378 7.5million for one off there best players ? you can bet your life that we will get offered at least 15million for fessi RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Washington - 29-08-2017 SS I thought it was DC who had fallen out with DH and banned him from the club. The S Yorkshire and Far East cultures are somewhat different and thus he didn't take kindly to DH style of negotiation for George's contract update. The development path outlined U23>Loan>FT squad seems sensible to me but all these PL offers seemed to have caused some major unrest especially when Snr. now realizes he might be a bit better off in his retirement to have taken the MUFC offer in his prime. Also, I think the wheeling and dealings of clubs and agents is very slimey these days due to the ridiculous transfer prices and wages driven by the TV money in the PL. If GH does go we need to ensure we have bumhole lane type sell on clauses in the agreement. On OT there is talk of PNL offering 4-5 M for Madine if Hugill moves on for 8-10M RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Statesideowl - 30-08-2017 Some of its difficult to be clear about, I agree. And none if us will know the finer details but with so much open to speculation it isn't great. Football has certainly become a greedy man's game. Swfc as a club have fallen out with Hirst Sr so I don't see Jr staying to be honest. Even of he did sign would there be tensions now? Is there any bad blood still in it? Again I've heard rumours about Sr being broke so if that's true he's going to be pushing for as much as possible, which won't be with Wednesday 5m for madine If Noblot have any sense they'll snatch their hands off RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Washington - 30-08-2017 (30-08-2017, 00:38)Statesideowl Wrote: Some of its difficult to be clear about, I agree. And none if us will know the finer details but with so much open to speculation it isn't great. TBF the couple of times I did the hospitality suite Snr did a good job of circulating with everyone, signing programs and having a banter with the young kids who were there for birthdays and or game mascots. Not sure what other sources of income he had/has but emotional attachment defineitely doesn't pay the gas bills. it looked like his missus was involved in the hospitality group too. I guess if he's not the last person on the celebrity player wall the writing is definitely (not) on it with respect to relationship with the club and as a parent probably just wants to get the best deal/opportunity for Jnr. Of course the bigger the club the opportunity is not always there- just look at the size of the M City and Chelsea overall squads and the extent of their younger player loans. Arnhem Vitesse is largely comprised of a combination of the Chelsea U23/Reserves. Most of them never ever get intto the main squad because the need for constant success drives the recruitment of foreign player stars each season. |
