RE: Games Thread: Fantasy Football/Soccer Manager - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 06-11-2014 Couple of quality results for me; my current Luton side (Division 4, high 70s) beat a full-strength human-managed QPR at Loftus Road in the cup, and better still, my Albion team smashed a human-managed Man City 10-0 tonight with James Morrison scoring a double hat-trick RE: Games Thread: Fantasy Football/Soccer Manager - wba_1996 - 06-11-2014 Hmmm, Struth wants big stadiums and lots of cash but Ska'd wants teams that can be built up over time How much long-term building are we talking Ska'd? Albion-level teams or Conference strugglers? And would you guys prefer a SM default league like the Brazilian one or a completely custom mash-up of teams from around the world? RE: Games Thread: Fantasy Football/Soccer Manager - struth - 06-11-2014 I'll take b Munich then and Skad can have barnet that'll give me a chance. Hell he'd still win lol I don't really mind but if your crowds are crap and you have little money you will never get a really good side. I enjoyed doing the conference league but not for ever as after a couple of years I had gone as far as I could. RE: Games Thread: Fantasy Football/Soccer Manager - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 06-11-2014 A ten-minute Milner hat-trick sees off Botafogo and keeps the pressure on at the top. How about a new American league as a compromise? You start off with mostly low 80s players (though some will be significantly higher) and attendances are reasonable enough to keep the money coming in and allow steady improvement. It's basically a lot like our old French league but with bigger crowds and a few superstars dotted around the starting squads. RE: Games Thread: Fantasy Football/Soccer Manager - wba_1996 - 06-11-2014 Good idea, I will look into it when Struth and Beefy have slots available As for tonight, Botafogo were destroyed - I had three first-teamers out and my strength in depth is non-existant. PSG drew 1- fecking 1 with Valencinnes and Alaba got suspended for 3 games AND Thiago Silva is out for 7 weeks RE: Games Thread: Fantasy Football/Soccer Manager - Dingle-Dingle - 06-11-2014 That Brazillian CPU is doing me. 2 games running it has injured 2 top ranking players. Just about murdered a 3-2 win. DD RE: Games Thread: Fantasy Football/Soccer Manager - struth - 07-11-2014 I ditched 3 underachieving sides tonight so Ive got room....still got too many but quite a few that I may ditch are in with a shout of winning the league so best keep them for now. Ive not tried a yank league, but tried an Aussie one; alas there were very few sides and matches were predictable. whatever folks want I'll try Sao paulo won 4-1 but Napoli were cpu'd down to a 1-1 draw. RE: Games Thread: Fantasy Football/Soccer Manager - wba_1996 - 08-11-2014 How about an Asian Championship? I can set it to 3 divisions of 16 teams so plenty of teams and the cup should be more interesting than a one division gameworld like the MLS. The best teams in division one have low-mid 80's rated first-teamers with the occasional high 80's player dotted around like in the MLS. And many of the stadiums in division one are 50,000+. RE: Games Thread: Fantasy Football/Soccer Manager - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 09-11-2014 If that works best, go for it. Yep, seems to be a compromise for what everyone wants Just waiting on Beefy to dump one of his 93762846274 teams and I will set it up |
