RE: Pitching on Four Fronts - TheWorthinGer - 05-05-2015 Back on the subject of "levies", here is the rule: http://spfl.co.uk/docs/067_324__therulesofthescottishprofessionalfootballleagueasat16march2015_1427989854.pdf C26 "A levy of 50% of the monies (gross excluding VAT) received or receivable by the Home Club for all Play-Off Matches played in the Premiership/Championship PlayOff Competition from all admission charges paid and payable to and for the relevant Play-Off Match shall be paid by the Home Club to the Company within seven days of the date on which each Play-Off Match is played." It doesn't make any mention of HAVING to charge anyone. RE: Pitching on Four Fronts - Larry-AV - 05-05-2015 Re : "A levy of 50% of the monies (gross excluding VAT) received or receivable by the Home Club" I suppose it all hangs on by what is meant as 'receivable'. RE: Pitching on Four Fronts - TheWorthinGer - 05-05-2015 Yeah, but it doesn't say that you can't allow free entry. RE: Pitching on Four Fronts - Trusevich - 07-05-2015 http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/9203-club-statement-on-ticketing £5 across the board. A sensible compromise as we'd have been shafted by the SPFL if we'd tried to continue down the free ticket route. I still expect some form of retribution from Doncaster's puppeteers. RE: Pitching on Four Fronts - TheWorthinGer - 07-05-2015 This is the way to go. Hopefully the spfl will do the arithmetic and see that even with a full house they will get less than they would have had season ticket holders got in for free and 20k others paid £20. What will they get now after expenses? C.£65Ik RE: Pitching on Four Fronts - Trusevich - 08-05-2015 They'll get about £80k from one home game, and the corrupt c*nts take their share before expenses. Many of the haters are obsessed about the amount of money that the small clubs will miss out on because of this, yet it turns out that a £1M levy would see League Two clubs get app. £22,500 between them from that pot. That's a maximum of £2,700 for the top League Two club. Celtic alone would see £134,000 from the same pot. I guess the reason for the hater's umbrage is clear from that. RE: Pitching on Four Fronts - Fredstersafool - 08-05-2015 At least ye only have one game to be concerned about it, RE: Pitching on Four Fronts - Larry-AV - 14-05-2015 Slightly off-topic, but worth mentioning nevertheless. SSN has just announced that Partick Thistle player Stephen Lawless has been issued with a notice of complaint for breaking the SFA rule banning betting on games. The complaint covers the current and last two seasons. This follows on from yesterday's news {13/05/2015} : Skysports - Scottish football leagues to be sponsored by Ladbrokes from next season Do as we say, not as we do ? RE: Pitching on Four Fronts - St Charles Owl - 14-05-2015 Larry, shouldn't you change the title of this thread now?? Can I suggest "Now pitching on the one and only front that even remotely mattered at the start of the season anyway!!" |
