England's day just.

As you say, you never know until both sides have batted but I put a par opening innings at around 400 so we have done well.

It always seems to fall on his shoulders lately though. Hopefully him and Stokes can turn this into a half-decent, competitive total.

Nice ton from Root but he needs to push on in the morning instead of pulling his usual trick of adding 3 or 4 to his overnight score before getting out. We need a big partnership somewhere from him, Bairstow, Ali or Broad. I wouldn't want to be chasing a big total batting last at the Wanderers.

Excellent from Root and Stokes. Changed the momentum of the innings. Agree that the two that are in need to take it on early tomorrow and hopefully set the platform for a good lead.

Bloody missed that  Angry was up at five this morning for work, got home about 11 and fell asleep just after Taylor came in. Woke up again at half two  Doh story of my f'ucking life  Laugh

Turned into a good day all round. Just got back in time to see Root hit the winning runs!
