Well this is another home match for Scotland, this time in the Nations League. What team to choose for Steve Clarke? Not the one that played Israel last night! There is no doubt some players need to be rested anyway. So who comes in? O'Donnell and Jack are definitely my targets as well as McBurnie and Dykes. Paul McGinn drafted in to Clarke's squad - play him as he is prob Hibs top performer this season. There is poss a chance for Ryan Porteous to play (Gallagher injured last night) but that option could be more risky. We need a decent "ball player" to replace Jack - unsure re that choice but Aberdeen's McGeough comes to mind. Shankland to start this match alongside what other striker? It may have to be Dykes but Ryan Fraser must start this match as well!

FT 1-0 and a few expected changes to Clarke's starting line up with Andrew Considine replacing Cooper and finally being recognised at 33 yoa after all these years playing in AFC's defence and playing well. Fraser also set up the only goal for Dykesy to score from a great "cross ball" by O'Donnell - a sweet move to set it up! Thumb up McLean getting a "start" and doing OK while McGinn doing sterling work dealing with Hamsik in the midfield area and putting in a "shift". Note the Slovak team had nine replacements in it. Also another good, solid performance by Gallagher who seems to have "grabbed the chance". Scotland the better team tonight, no d oubt, and there should've been more goals up front but it's another "step" in hopefully the right direction - two "clean sheets" in four days and unbeaten in seven matches. Czechoslovakia next at Hampden Park - lets savour it and hope Clarke finds a really good, balanced Scotland starting line-up that is certainly "taking shape" as a solid unit and brimful with confidence but needs to improve in the "final third" of the pitch. A win would place us in a great "frame of mind" and good Scotland players to return and bolster certain positions as well.
