Wrong Place and Now No More

As the new season has started it hardly helps the site's credibility that the membership of various divisions has not been properly updated when the season is already going. Macclesfield shouldn't have been here, but now they are nowhere.

Sadly, not only were Macclesfield relegated as a disciplinary measure against the club, but also now as members of the National League they have been liquidated by the Courts. Like the Norwegian Blue and Bury, they are deceased and the blame is being heaped on owner Amar Alkadhi.

It is the worst end imaginable for a club with a long history. They have been signing staff and new players. Now all are jobless.

The National League will again be back to 23 teams, so there will obviously only be three relegation spots as it is too late to rejig lower divisions.

Macclesfield Town deserve a football club and a team. They don't have to be brilliant. They just have to find a way to take the name into the future.
