Now, I know there's a few on this thread that live North of Hadrian's Wall and don't always give two hoots aboot our own issues with Bodgit but bear with me as he gives us all more than a little to debate over our fave tipples round the living room radiator and those that use it, 'soshul meedja'.
When Starmer was pushing for a 2 week lockdown around the October school half-term, and Bodgit the Procrastinator was still umming and arring and worrying where he could spaff our next £10 billion that he'll tax thee and me for sooner or later, eventually the Procrastinator General decided on a 4 week lockdown in November instead. That (this?) lockdown, unless someone can tell me different was supposed to calm things down again, and those in the higher tiers would be moved to lower tiers, the NHS wouldn't be overwhelmed, thanks to 10 years of Tory under-funding combined with a double-whammy winter flu and Cora overload, and we could all have a drink and maybe Christmas dinner and share a big tube of Smarties with our folks who we've not seen since February.
Now of course, that wasn't a lockdown at all, apart from shutting all the pubs/restaurants that had done everything they could to comply with the Procrastinator Generals demands, and more than a few little shops who had to close while supermarkets could stay open, sell everything the pubs and the little shops couldn't and quickly become the best spreading points of the virus known to these islands.
From my own experience, even though I now only experience it 1-2x per week instead of 5x, the M6 between J10a - J4 is no quieter at 7-8 in the morning and 5-6 in the eventing than it was 12 months ago. I never realised how many school kids drove themselves to school or got schooled out of town. OK maybe it's the teachers and Uni lecturers - must be a helluva lot of 1-1 tutoring going on.
So all in all when I look at this wonderful map of how it has all worked out in the PG's latest plan of action
that all worked out really well didn't it?
Yet more lies and BS from the PG then.
As they say in France - "plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose"
