Here is a good brief summary of the crass Brit govt antics recently given by the DT journo, Kevin McKenna: For Johnson and Cummings red lines exist to be smashed rather than heeded. With each one they cross, the nation (England) becomes more desensitised to the concept of outrage. What we once perceived to be uncivilised or morally unacceptable becomes less so. We become anaesthetised and subdued by a sense of familiarity and a resigned presumption of the Prime Minister’s dishonesty. He and Dominic Cummings play for this. The dawn of fascism anyone? And how people are gradually accepting of the most outrageous and unacceptable political actions up to a point where even concentration camps could be set up for targeted groups of people who are deemed shameless and unwanted by the govt in question.
I also think Johnson's Brexit revelations this week were once again being thanked by certain people in the financial market who could "line their pockets" further (as done in 2016!) as the Brit govt "played fast and loose" with international treaties, and Barnier's patience. One thing is certain during these uncertain times and that is nothing, absolutely nothing, is sacred for the No-Deal Brexit c#### who are at the forefront of this shit. Not the NI Good Friday Agreement, not the global standing of the UK, not devolution or democracy, not human rights or the rule of law, not catastrophic job losses, not the UK economy heading for a shredding, nor years of deep recession blighting the future of not just our "brightest and best" young people, but of each and every one of us who were born to arbitrage and trade. Meanwhile, as the clock ticks on to Jan 2021, Boris's rich chums (eg Crispin Odey, a super rich creton of a venture capitalist cum hedge fund manager who is currently on a charge of indecent assault - see attachment) are impatient for further Brexit dividends and lashings n lashings of clotted cash. Note one of those rich chums, Odey, incensed by the money spent so far by the Brit govt supporting citizens during this unprecedented Covid pandemic, was berating politicians for their "unwillingness" to allow a proper recession. Such spoil sports eh!! He also criticised the furlough scheme, fearing a rise in inflation affecting stock markets. HE COULDN'T CARE ONE JOT ABOUT PEOPLE'S LIVELIHOODS, WELL-BEING, LOSING THEIR JOBS, THEIR HOMES, THEIR HEALTH. AND F### THE NHS!!! The bare-faced self-opportunism is almost too much to believe but this is a flavour of the people who are behind Johnson, Cummings et al in this massive conspiracy that is being enacted under a flag of democracy - an absolute disgrace!! But you'd better believe it, because we are way over the rainbow and the pots of gold that have already been snazzled by Johnson's rich pals. A PM who was quite happy to take Odey's donations to his political party and his election/leadership campaign last year. Now we're at the point of the "margin call". And, like a good little boy, Johnson responds with the big No Deal announcement because there's no such thing as a free lunch!! IMO if there is any justice, it won't be long before there's no such thing as a United Kingdom and I certainly want to see a scorned Scotland at the forefront of the break up sooner rather than later as I weep that we have lost 5 years in not grasping the opp of self-determination when we had the chance to do it!!
