Two big hitters for Derbyshire were Guptil 161 and Madsen 133. I reckon if the weather holds off tomorrow then they should get Cambridge MCCU out before they reach a ton and then send them into bat again and Derbyshire won't have to go in for the 2nd innings.

Getting a big score like that will give us confidence for when we play Lancashire next Sunday. Looking at the players I reckon we should get back in Division One for next season.

As a pre season work out, that doesn't appear to have been very good. But like you say, good for building confidence. Thumb up

Derbyshire have had a good pre-season in Dubai and in general. But pre-season means nothing because you could win every pre-season match and lose the first 5 games or lose every pre-season match and win the first 5 games.
