St Mirren are running the rule over Ivorian forward Cedric Gondo, with a view to landing the former Fiorentina man.
The 21-year-old was in action at the Saints’ Ralston training ground yesterday afternoon as they took on Dundee in a bounce match.
Buddies manager Oran Kearney confirmed that he is keen to have a closer look at the striker as he bids to bolster his striking options.
It has now been six games since a St Mirren player last scored a goal, with Danny Mullen’s double on the opening day of the season their last strike.
Kearney told the Paisley Daily Express: “Cedric is an Italian-based striker who has come up through Fiorentina’s ranks.
“He moved on and played for Greek side Asteras Tripolis last year.
“The problem with him is he hasn’t been training with a team for the past three weeks or so.
“He has done gym training, however, so we will have a closer look at him
