Scotland v Georgia, Tuesday 20 June

This match at Hampden Park can't come quick enough for Scotland fans (tickets could be sold out 3 x over, such is the high demand from all over Scotland!) as a victory will almost guarantee Scotland a Euro quali place with the percentage of certainty rising to roughly 97%. The place will be buzzing tomorrow night with a tremendous atmosphere from the tartan army. I think Stevie Clarke will keep the players' feet firmly on the ground all the same and is well aware of a potential "banana skin" fixture v them. The Scotland fans will play a big part in attaining a positive result. IMO any kinda win will do, the 3 pts more important than the performance. Our record at Hampden Park is very good and I reckon these players will be well up for this match; they'll get better as the games are gradually ticked off - confidence sky high and no wonder! C'mon Scotland! Lets do this and make it a party night all over Scotland!!

A surreal scenario unfolding at Hampden Park when the elements appeared to be conspiring against Scotland with a huge torrential rain storm arising half an hour before KO - pitch unplayable while the UEFA ref making a total erse of the situation in starting the game. Scotland 1-0 ahead with a very well taken McGregor goal on 6 mins and then the game suspended due to a waterlogged pitch. Pitch being dried off/drained in a requisite time and KO revised to 9.30pm. Georgia refusing to play, game on now - "getting laldy" from the Tartan Army!

Scotland should be 3-0 ahead by HT. Some great fingertip saves by the Georgia goalie, our opponents very fortunate to be just 1-0 down. HT 1-0 - history beckons for Scotland!
Goooaaallll!!! 2-0 Scotland right after HT - MOTM Robertson in great Liverpool form, passes to McTominay and a top class finish by the big man!! Goalie nae chance!! Scotland players "smell blood" now and in the mood for more attacks and goals!! Whoooeeeee!! We are in a great quali position now!!

FT 2-0 and a magnificent record-breaking piece of Scottish footie history (4 x consecutive quali-group wins) achieved tonight under very trying circumstances plus a "clean sheet" with a piece of good fortune - Georgia missing a last secs pk!! Euro 2024 qualification is almost certain! Well done!! Thumb up

A surreal evening - but Scotland very close now to sealing a place at the Euros. A win in Cyprus might well be enough.

2 well taken goals again. Happy days!!
