As predicted, Hibs well up for this game after a decent 1st half and a deserved Doidgy 1st goal. Then "upped the ante" in the 2nd half with a good hi-press/hi-tempo push on to the Queens defence and, HEYYY PRESTO, a second Doidgy goal and a great move/goal for Boyly's strike, 0-3. 13 mins still to go and subs on now. Great stuff!!!! Thumb up Thumb up
FT 1-3 and the Doonhamers scored a vg consolation goal by Maxwell but Hibs really should've scored four or five goals TBH. I'm stumped by Nisbet's miss after the QOS CH gaffed to give him the ball in their pen box - he has to learn to keep a cool head and strike on target, an easy goal opp scorned by the young striker! Anyway, no damage done. We move on to Ibronx for a bigger challenge.

The best bit of the first half for me was Maxwell v Boyle, then Maxwell scored a great solo goal late on. Hibs well on top for most of the game, but Dobbie should have scored early on for QOTS and Nisbet fluffed a chance laid on a plate near the finish. Definitely not Scotland material on this showing. Job done with great goals, but never totally convincing. Roll on Stranraer now.

Good second half for Hibs with the wind. Good individual goal for Queens.

Dobbie will be ruing the chance in the first half when left on his own at the far post . Tried to buy a penalty in the second half just before our second............seen them given in Scotland although never a pen IMO! Great save by Macey at 1.0 which was important in the context of the game.

Wasteful with our chances especially in the second half and especially Nisbet.

Difficult tie and pleased to get through to the next fight at Stranraer.

Good professional performance, pleased with that. Could have had more goals but it's a cup game getting through is what counts.
