Celtic 2 Killie 0 - an improved performance and another win!
#1
So Neil Lennon continued with a revamped workmanlike side that never looked "flat" in the 1st half v Killie and competed vigorously with another Scot Prem team that set up in the normal way to defend stoutly and "break out" when the opp beckons. 0-0 at HT but from the start of the 2nd half Celtic clearly "upped the ante" and relentlessly pushed on to Killie's rearguard. Could've scored more goals but the "job done" and Lennon introducing guys like Christie and Rogic to join in the game and contribute to a positive-moving team with a high work rate. It looks like they have "stopped the rot" and another boost was the return from injury of a much stronger-looking Mikey Johnson (he has definitely been working out in the gym!) coming on for the last quarter of this match. It may be too soon but he might be used in the upcoming cup final at Hampden Park and could have a huge impact as his wing play, and Forrest's, have been a big miss for the Hoops.
