I'm old enough to remember when thatcher said that only private investment could fix those victorian era sewers... Yet all these years later all thats happened is the taxpayers dough has been hoovered up with standards and spending on infrastructure plummeting. The tories even openly voting to literally willy wonka shite onto Englands coastlines. So many of your rivers, lakes and coastlines are being hopelessly polluted.

Out the EU this mob are totally off the leash.

And look at the huge cost of upgrading these sewers. Add in the massive cost of repairing the houses of parliament (apparently billions n billions of quid) that is less than the cost of these sewers.
Also here's a good article on Johnson and his crazy comments down the years - the clown prince "in his element"!! One has to ask a simple question: "Is he actually normal, does he have a 'screw loose' in his head"??

The man's a fool, and that is being really polite.

When he's not a fool he's a horse's ass.

Yet more evidence of it's one rule for them, another for the rest. They just don't get it, or rather they probably do as they are abusing the 80 seat majority to change wtf they want in their favour.

I love how they make this guy out to be some kind of victim instead of a cheating, corrupt bastard who has been well and truly caught out. Laugh

Quite a few Tories on his own side condemning Paterson as "guilty as sin" and yet they've abused the voting system again with lotsa abstentions in the face of their huge majority in parliament. It just goes on n on and yet Johnson's popularity appears to be untouched in the eyes of a big chunk of the voting population down south! How much more of this unethical shit do we have to put up with and for how many years? When will people and businesses finally "see the light" and come to the conclusion that all this disingenuous behaviour and dishonesty that is being openly displayed with impunity must finally come to an end as it becomes apparent that normalising this new age of a populist govt of "anything goes, no ethics, no scrutiny, no moral compass" will never prevail into the long term. Or alternatively are we observing a Brit/English version of 1930s Germany where lotsa people were brainwashed or engendered into believing that this is the normal way to go even though it is morally wrong and bordering on criminality that was effectively being ignored or condoned for years with lotsa casualties and victims piling up - bizarrely unchallenged until it was too late!! Study the history books and learn how these RW methods to dupe a population are actually being copied again. One can't even refer to the "fickle" word because a lotta the folk who were duped with this kinda populist shit weren't even born anywhere near this period of contention. However, there was/is a significant "oldie" group of voters who really should've known better in condemning the country to this nightmare - part of the OP title is apt TBF, ...the "nightmare begins"....

Coincidentally Boris was up for investigation by the same committee.

It's a posh version of Orban we are witnessing here.
